Fast of Pentecost
Greeting Church
Our second of three feasts [fast] for 2024, the fast of “Pentecost” (Shavuot) entitled “Reposition” (Re-Set) commencing Sunday 2nd June 2024 concludes Sunday 21st July 2024.
Our 2024 theme scripture is taken from, 2 Samuel 22:14-15 &2 Kings 13:15-18 – “Shoot the arrow and strike the ground”
Key theme: “YAHWEH WILL DELIVER” Declaration:
1. I Will Recover (Rise-up)
2. I Will Reposition (Re-set)
3. I Will Repossess (The gates)
If you can recall, I sent out a message a head of our first fast “Passover” reflecting on the Word of the Lord for our three feasts [fast]. The Lord spoke through Pastor Nathan sermon on the 7th January 2024 and he said, “God is calling us to do something this year, get intense, draw near, take your position, do not posture before people, posture before God.” He went on to say “the people were called to march around Jericho, everyone were called to march! But God called the priest to lead the procession.”
Through the sermon the Lord spoke, “look in-front of you” (my head was down as I was taking notes) Pastor Nathan next point was “God has polished arrows hidden in His quiver.” The voice I was hearing became louder, so I looked up, in-front of me the media team had the theme for this year on the overhead along with the three declarations points. The Spirit of God spoke to me – “there is the three-prayer theme for the three fast of 2024”.
1. Recover / Reset – Fast 1(Passover)
2. Reposition / Recover – Fast 2 (Pentecost)
3. Repossess / The Gates – Fast 3 (Tabernacle)
In view of the above, I am commissioned to obey the voice of the Lord and follow His instructions for “Yahweh Will Deliver”! The Lord is very strategic in how the temple was built, how Nehemiah built the wall, how the wall of Jericho came down, how Moses was called the come up higher, how Joshua was positioned to take over from Moses, how David became King, how Barak conquered, how Elisha received the double portion of the anointing. Conversely, I could draw our attention to many more examples of strategic alliances with God which announces testimonies of God glory, but for now, we too have been given specific instructions which we most do accordingly.
Please let us follow the voice of the Lord for 2024. We will certainly see “Yahweh Will Deliver”!

As Christians, repositioning involves making godly adjustments in our lives, spiritual walk, and lifestyle.
1. Spiritual Alignment: Repositioning means drawing near to God with a true heart (Hebrews 10:22). It’s about moving closer to Him, hungering for more of His presence, and maintaining holy determination. When we seek God earnestly, we position ourselves for His blessings and glory.
2. Identity and Purpose: The concept of a repositioned, involves fully embracing your identity in Christ and actively living out your God-given purpose. It’s understanding who you are in Him and committing to fulfil our calling.
3. Fervent Prayer: In Acts 10, Cornelius prayed fervently. God positioned him to meet Peter, leading to his salvation and the opening of the Gospel to the Gentiles this I would say is evangelism. It the season where we align our desires to His
perfect will. Jesus’ example in Matthew 26:39: “Not my will, Yours be done.”
Remember, repositioning is about aligning ourselves with God’s purposes and making necessary changes to receive His blessings!
