Word: What You Need Is In The House
Some ‘Set-Up to Step-Up’ are not possible without some type of crisis. There are times that the Lord will place us in hostile territories, in wilderness places, and in desert locations. Quite often we misinterpret our location. We curse our misfortunes, we pray and fast for deliverance, perhaps believing that we may have sinned.
Let me remind you of the story of Ruth and Naomi. It was during an intense crisis that Naomi told Ruth to go back to her family. However, Ruth understood that somehow her destiny was connected to Naomi. So, despite Naomi’s pleas, Ruth responds with these famous words, ‘Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: Where you go, I will go; and where you lodge, I will lodge: Your people shall be my people, and your God shall be my God.’ (Ruth 1:16). This divine connection was to catapult this pagan Moabite into the lineage of Christ. Now this was a ‘Set-Up’ no one saw coming. Oh, my dearly beloved, let us not despise these ‘small beginnings’, they are often our starting point into our great future.
Discernment is the key in every situation we may find ourselves, whether it be on the mountain or in the valley. Even disastrous situations can be seen as unique opportunities for us to activate radical transformation. Unusual moves will take great courage. Sometimes it appears simpler just to continue life as we know it. Why would I want to interrupt my programme to take on more responsibility? Let someone else build ‘the man’ a space. Yet there is a ‘stirring’ in the spirit by the Spirit and God is looking for someone who will just say ‘Yes’. Despite how treacherous these waves are, I refuse to stay on this boat when Jesus is calling me to walk on water. I may not be described as a ‘notable woman’ like the Shunammite, but I do have ‘something in the house’. Let me arise and use what I have, as long as I keep ‘pouring into the vessels’, surely the Lord will keep supplying the oil.
Let Us Pray
– Father, by Your Spirit, we will never be left empty, barren, desolate, disappointed, or unfulfilled. Hallelujah.
– Today, we cut lose from every tired, crippling, defeating, depleting, draining, dream-killing spirit. In Jesus’s Name.
– Today, we take hold of all God’s blessings. We wrap our arms around them. We will not let them go until they manifest.
– We declare, no more hopeless existing, negative thinking, dream-killing speaking, no more restrictions. In Jesus’s Name. Amen
– People of God, I sense and declare a change within our atmosphere. Come Holy Spirit: Come.
– We are not defined by our external environment. Rather, we have been ‘set-up’ to demonstrate God’s power to supersede anything that may rise against us.
