Set-up to Step-up Day 11

Text: 2 Kings 4:9-10
And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God, which passes by us continually. Let us make him a little chamber on the wall; with a bed, a table, a stool, and a candlestick’

Word: ‘What Is God Stirring You To Do? Pt 2’
By Pastor Nadia Jackson

The Shunammite Woman did not just ‘see’ Elisha; she ‘discerned’ him. Discernment sees beyond what the natural eye can see. Everybody in Shunem could have watched the same prophet walk through the same streets, but this woman recognised what was passing before her

Mary was going about an ordinary day when Gabriel appeared with an extraordinary announcement. Esther entered a palace without fully understanding that her position would eventually become an instrument for the preservation of a nation. Ruth followed Naomi without knowing that her decision would position her in the field of Boaz and ultimately place her within the lineage of Christ. What looked like ordinary decisions became Divine Set-Ups.

Woman of God, there are seasons when you must become sensitive again.

God may ask you to build when there is no proof of a blessing. He may ask you to serve when there is no applause. He may ask you to sow when there is no evidence of harvest. He may ask you to prepare a room for a testimony that has not yet arrived. Let us not despise the stirring.

There are many competing sounds; the sound of fear, disappointment, other people’s expectations, previous failures, tiredness and even the sound of your own reasoning. But somewhere amongst those sounds is the gentle prompting of the Holy Spirit saying, “This is the way, walk ye in it.”

Do not allow a distracting sound to override a Divine Instruction.

You may not understand what is on the other side of your obedience, but obedience does not require the whole blueprint. Sometimes it simply requires enough faith to first build the room.

Let Us Pray
– Father, show me what has been passing before me that I have failed to recognise.
– I will not despise small beginnings. I will build what God has instructed me to build.
– Every Divine Set-Up assigned to my destiny, I will discern it, recognise it and respond to it, in Jesus’ Name.
– Father, give me wisdom to distinguish between a Divine Opportunity and a devious distraction.
– I declare I will hear the Voice behind me saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it.’
– Lord, whatever You desire to accomplish through my life in this season, my answer is ‘Yes’.
– I will not miss my moment. I will not miss my instruction. I will not miss my season. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
