People of God, it’s always good to occasionally stop, and evaluate our life’s journey. Asking and tackling intimately challenging questions is a great place to start. Where and when did these wounds originate? At what stage in our lives were these poisonous seeds planted? Matthew 13:24-43 tells a story about someone who planted good seed in his garden but ‘while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat…when the garden grew, the tares also appeared. The labourers asked the man, sir…where did these tares come from? The owner said to them, ‘An enemy has done this’.

Tares (also called cheats or poisonous weeds) have a similar resemblance to wheat, and tend grow closely connected to it, thus making it very difficult to separate. The difference between tares and wheat is that tares are both bitter and toxic, producing lethal side effects. Hence, the owner of the field was certain that only an ‘enemy’ could have done this. Furthermore, the enemy did this ‘while they slept’. The word ‘sleep’ in this story, can describe different phases of a person’s life, such as the unprotected state of a baby; the sleep of spiritual immaturity; the sleep of over-exhaustion; the sleep caused by unhealed wounds; or a sleep caused by sin. These baggage of hurt, pain, disappointments, regrets, frustrations, and set-backs you are carrying right now, did not come from God, they were ‘planted’ or ‘sown’ by the enemy whilst you slept. The job of ‘tares’ is to slow you down; wear you out; frustrate your progress; block your purpose; overwhelm, cloud, and corrupt your emotions.

Today, I am here to declare, that the Lord knows how to eradicate every poisonous seed. The Lord is saying that it is time to get to the root-cause of your affliction and the source of your condition, with the intention to perform an uprooting, eradicating, and healing procedure of your heart. Perhaps, like the ‘Woman with the Issue’ you have sought out many physicians; called on many friends; tried different therapy groups; pursued validation from Church Leaders; but instead of getting better, you’re feeling worse (Luke 8:43-48). Saints of God, all you need is an agreement with the ‘three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these Three are One… If [you do not] receive endorsement from people, the validation of God is far greater’, (1 John 5:5-9). He knows how to transform broken jars into honourable vessels… He knows how to turn your broken story into His glory. Thus, when you testify, His authentication and endorsement is all that matters. Amen.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
– Father, You have purchased and sealed us with the Blood of Jesus, Your Son.
– Father, we belong to You. Thus, we are covered, protected, secured, sealed, appointed, and anointed. Hallelujah.
– We are not orphans. We are not illegitimate; We are not unwanted. We belong to God.
– Father, let Your Word remind us that we are ‘uniquely designed’, ‘fearfully made’, and ‘hand-crafted’, to carry the Life of God’s Spirit in us.
– Father, cause us to understand that we are God’s ‘Prototype’. God’s ‘Original Copy’. We are God’s ‘Masterpiece’.
– Saints of God, we are Sculptured, Formed, and Made, ‘In God’s Image’, to carry the Image and Glory of His Son, Jesus Christ.
