Dear Daughters
Well, it’s that time again. We have less than three weeks or 18 days before we meet face to face. Prior to the event, we would like to invite you to engage in a period of praying (and fasting, if possible). We have compiled a prayer journal, with prayer pointers. Hopefully, this will bring inspiration, as you take part in this season of prayer.
Text: 2 Kings 4:12-13
‘Elisha said to Gehazi, call this Shunammite Woman, say to her, you have been thoughtful and meticulous in your care for us, ‘What Is There To Be Done For You?’
Word: ‘Setting The Stage For The Supernatural’
The above text introduces us to a ‘great and notable’ woman. To be introduced and described in such a profound way is indeed extraordinary. Such success does not occur overnight, she must have laboured diligently, yet she still chose to extend meticulous care to the ‘Man of God’: please take note, there is no record of complaint, protest, or objection to what she felt compelled to do.
One day whilst Elisha was resting in the said chamber, he said to Gehazi, his servant, ‘Call this Shunammite Woman!’. Let her know that I have observed her meticulous care for us. Ask her, ‘What Is There To Be Done For You?’ What a question! It left the woman speechless. Elisha goes on to say, ‘About this season next year you shall embrace a son’. Something was about to shift in this woman’s destiny.
How often have we missed divine opportunities due pressures of life? We walk pass ‘open doors’, we miss divine connections, neglect chances, and we avoid risks. We site many reasons, (some quite valid). Perhaps we are just too tired, or we can’t take on any more responsibilities, or we simply feel unqualified for the task. We convince ourselves that we are not a speaker, a teacher, an usher, or a singer. So, your ‘angel’ came and your ‘angel’ left: Another missed divine opportunity.
This was not so for the Shunammite Woman, she created an atmosphere for her miracle. Of course, the child did die, but that was just a ‘set-up’ for the supernatural. The Chamber that she built for Elisha, became the altar upon which she laid her dead son. When Elisha came into the house, he shut the door, stretched himself upon the child until there was Restoration, Resuscitation, Resurrection, Renewal, and Revival. I’m here to declare that your ‘miracle’ may look dead, but God is not done. Drive out the doubters, stretch yourself a little more. You have come to the right place at the right time. Tell yourself that what you are going through is just a ‘Set-Up to ‘Step-Up’. Hallelujah.
Let Us Pray
– Today I declare ‘Resurrection Power’, in Jesus Name.
– Father, let the power of Your Word take root in our hearts. Detangle every plan of the enemy, loosen every padlock, break open chains, and erase bondages.
– I speak freedom to every prophetic purpose, every God-given dream and every ingenious vision.
– Out of our bellies, let there be an overflow of Your river Lord: Rivers of discovery, resourcefulness, innovation, shrewd inventions, sound investments, and wise insights.
– Father, bring us into alignment with the right people. Let Your Holy Spirit bring us to our divine connections.
– Open unto us doors of Grace and Favour amongst people with the right resources, gifts, and talents.
– Bring us into synchronization with people who will take us towards our destined purpose.
– Father, keep us from missing divine opportunities, may we never walk away from our open doors.
– Oh, that You would bless us indeed, enlarge our territory, let it be well with us. Bless us, so that we can be a blessing.
– Let our lives be a living Testimony of the Glory of God. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
