WORD: ‘Finding Favour with God’

It is so wonderful when The Lord begins to speak to us. Just hearing His voice reassures us that everything is going to be alright. In Isaiah 9:6, the Lord made a promise to His people Israel. Through the prophet Isaiah, He declares:
‘For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given…And His Name will be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace’.
Well, this most powerful promise of God was about to explode into His Plan and Purpose of ‘New Beginnings’. In Luke 1:26-28, God sends a Word to a woman called Mary, declaring, ‘Hail, you that art highly favoured, the Lord is with you: Blessed are you among women’.
What Mary was about to hear was the fulfilment of a ‘seven-hundred-year’ Promise that would bring the long-awaited emancipation of an entire people. thus, it was no ordinary ‘Word’ from the Lord.
