We are living in a time when, contracts, promises, oaths, and agreements, are no longer viewed as godly commitments. Even the most sacred of vows spoken before God at the alter declaring, ‘I do’, has somehow lost its sacred pledge. Life has left us feeling disappointed by people, our government, our family, our friends, our mentors, our churches, and even ourselves.
God is aware of all our disappointments. God is aware of all the scars caused by forged signatures, counterfeit documents, fake smiles, false words, and phoney friendships. However, Our God is not like this, and we must never view Him through these lenses. God declared in 2 Corinthians 1:20 that, ‘all His promises are yes and Amen’. That means when God says, ‘Yes’ to His Promise concerning your life, you can shout a big ‘Amen’. God’s ‘Yes’ is solid, strong, sturdy, unshakable, and firm. Thus, God’s integrity, reliability, and holy honesty is unquestionable absolute.
God knows when you are ‘passing through the fire of affliction’, and there are times when He allows the ‘burn’. But He will never allow the fire to burn forever, you will emerge; and know this, you will not emerge to an empty, favourless, fruitless promise. The Lord has promised that, like Eve, He will make you fruitful again (Gen 4:25); Like Miriam, you will dance again (Ex 15:20-25); Like Sarah, you will laugh again; Like the daughters of Zelophehad, you will own land again (Numbers 27:1-7); Like Ruth, you will marry again (Ruth 4:13-17); Like Hannah, The Lord will remember you (1 Samuel 1:18). Like the ‘Woman with the issue’, you will walk in health again (Luke 8:43-48); Like the Widow of Nain, your children will live again (Luke 7:11-15); And, like Jairus’ daughter, you will arise again (Luke 8:41-56).Today, God is reminding His People that He is sticking to His side of the Covenant Agreement. God’s Covenant is not determined by what you bring to the table, but by His own abundant, and excessive supply of Grace, lavishly poured out for you and me. People of God, just get under the canopy of God’s Grace and let Him drench you with His favour. Exodus 12:36 reminds us that when God’s people left Egypt, ‘The Lord gave them favour… and the Egyptians gave them everything that they asked for; thus, they stripped them before leaving’. Today, ‘It Will Come To Pass’, you will come out… and you will come out full. Amen.
