Word: Turning A Broken Story Into God’s Glory
God is aware of all our disappointments. God is aware of all the scars caused by superficial associations, counterfeit relationships, fake smiles, false words, and phoney friendships. However, Our God is not like this, and we must never view Him through these lenses. God declared in 2 Corinthians 1:20 that, ‘all His promises are yes and Amen’. That means, when God says ‘Yes’ to His Promise concerning your life, you can shout a big ‘Amen’. God’s ‘Yes’ is solid, strong, sturdy, unshakable, and firm. Thus, God’s integrity, reliability, and holy honesty is unquestionably absolute.
God knows when you are ‘passing through the valley of affliction’, and there are times when He allows the ‘breaking’ to reach ‘boiling point’. But He will never allow the fire to burn beyond your capacity, you will emerge; and know this, you will not emerge empty, barren, fruitless, or wasted. The Lord has promised that, like Eve, He will make you fruitful again (Gen 4:25); Like Miriam, you will dance again (Ex 15:20-25); Like the ‘Woman with the issue’, you will walk in health again (Luke 8:43-48); Like the Widow of Nain, you will break the grip of death again (Luke 7:11-15); And, like Jairus’ daughter, you will arise again (Luke 8:41-56).
How many times have we asked God the question… ‘Why?’ Why can’t I seem to prosper? Why is everyone else being blessed except me? Why do I have to struggle so much, whilst everyone else appear to have it so easy? Why is everything against me? Contained in Scripture are a compilation of stories that are not always jubilant, favourable or pleasant. Some stories, such as that of Ruth and Naomi and the ‘Widow of Nain’, flow from a heart of deep sorrow. Woman of God, as the tears run down your face, this Word is for you. Man of God, as you sit there not knowing what next to do, this Word is for you.
You may be asking, ‘How much more can this person take’? May be, right now you are looking for a solution, an intervention, justice, anything to help stop this unimaginable suffering. If you are reading this devotional right now, this is not a coincidence. Jesus is speaking to you, and when Jesus speaks a Word everything changes. (John 11:25) Saints of God, let me remind you of our theme text in Jeremiah 30:17: ‘For I will restore health to you… I will heal your wounds’. Which means, your brokenness is not permanent, this too will pass: ’From Broken-piece To His Masterpiece’. Read 2 Corinthians 4:17-18, and shout hallelujah.
PROPHEC PRAYER
– Thank You Father, my destiny will not be aborted in the wilderness, and my purpose will not be terminated in the ‘back-side’ of the desert.
– I hear the Lord declaring, ‘Talitha Cumi’: My daughter, ‘Arise’. I hear the Lord saying, ‘Lazarus come out of your tomb’. Hence, I will not stay confined in this ‘dead man’s grave’.
– I am coming out better, not bitter. I will end my season victoriously and I will finish my course.
– Today, I declare that God is my ‘Jehovah Shammah’: A very ‘Present God’ in a time of need.
– God is my ‘Jehovah Roi’: The God who sees.
– God is my ‘Jehovah Shamar’: The One who ‘hedges me in’
– God is my ‘Jehovah Gibbor’: He is the One who fights for me.
– Finally, God is my ‘El Chuwl’: He ‘gave birth’ to me. Thus, He owns my life. Shout Hallelujah.
