PENTECOST FAST 2025

PENTECOST FAST 2025

Greetings, Saints,

Please, the time has come. We’re getting ready. We’re entering into the time of our Pentecostal fast. This is our second of three feasts, fasts, for the year 2025, “Pentecost”, also known as “Shavuot”. This sacred fast will run from 1st June to 20th July 2025 under the theme: Restoration

The key scripture verse for this Pentecostal fast is taken from Isaiah 61 and verse 4 (New King James Version):

“And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.”

The Lord is calling us to restore the ruined places, to rebuild what has been broken down, both in the natural and in the spiritual. This is a divine invitation to partner with heaven in the rebuilding and realigning of our lives, our churches, and our communities.

When we speak of Restoration, we speak of a call to revival. Isaiah 61 declares that the Spirit of the Lord is upon us to proclaim good news, bind up the broken-hearted, proclaim freedom, comfort those who mourn, and restore what has been lost for generations. We are being led to restore the altar, restore our prayer lives, restore holiness, and restore our communities. As part of this vision, we reflect on the story of Nehemiah, who was moved to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem. Just as Nehemiah led the people in restoring the ruins, we too are called to rebuild lives, rebuild worship, and rebuild faith. The word from the Lord is clear: ‘It is time to restore the whole ruins.’

This Pentecost Fast is not in isolation. We build upon the foundation of redemption declared during Passover, and we look ahead to the renewal that awaits us in Tabernacles. But now, we centre ourselves on Restoration, the divine process that revives and reforms. Let every prayer, gathering, and moment of fasting be aligned with the move of God.

Seven Weekly Themes, Pentecost Fast 2025

Week 1 (1–7 June): Rebuilding the Altar – A Call to Holy Devotion
Consecrating ourselves afresh, restoring personal and corporate intimacy with God, and returning to the fire of our first love. We stand in the Spirit of Isaiah 61:1, where the Lord anoints us to proclaim good news and begin the process of personal healing and holiness.

Week 2 (8–14 June): Restoring Spiritual Clarity – Removing the Noise, Recovering the Voice
We pray to recover spiritual clarity by removing distortion and distraction. We align with God’s voice and truth, standing in Isaiah 61:2–3 to proclaim freedom and release from darkness, and to replace confusion with the oil of joy and the garment of praise.

Week 3 (15–21 June): The Power to Build – Receiving the Spirit for Strength and Strategy
Like Nehemiah, we seek supernatural wisdom and Spirit-empowered strength. Isaiah 61:1 reminds us that the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon us. We ask for divine enablement to build, heal, and restore what has been desolate.

Week 4 (22–28 June): Repairers of the Breach – Rebuilding Righteousness and Justice
God calls us to be oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendour (Isaiah 61:3). This week focuses on moral restoration, intercession for justice, and being a voice for truth in a broken world.

Week 5 (29 June – 5 July): The Walls of Worship – Rebuilding the Sound and the Spirit of Praise
Isaiah 61:3 speaks of the garment of praise replacing a spirit of despair. We ask God to rebuild our worship lives—restoring passion, purity, and prophetic song. We call forth a sound that prepares the way for His glory.

Week 6 (6–12 July): Waging for the Wall – Warfare, Watchmen and Intercession
This week we stand as watchmen, as those who ‘rebuild the ancient ruins’ (Isaiah 61:4). We wage war in the Spirit to protect what God is restoring. We intercede for breakthrough and defend the gates of our homes, churches, and cities.

Week 7 (13–20 July): The Glory of the Latter House – Revival, Renewal and Establishment
We declare Isaiah 61:7–9 over the Church—that instead of shame, we will receive a double portion. This final week is about contending for sustained revival, personal and corporate renewal, and establishment in the Spirit. The Pentecost harvest is now, and we pray for souls, legacy, and enduring transformation.
