Scarred but not discarded Day 16

Restoration prayer image for empowerment and healing in community worship.

WORD: ‘The wound Will Heal’

Life can leave us feeling broken by people, by our government, by our family, by our friends, our mentors, our churches, and even ourselves. God is aware of all our hurts and disappointments. God is aware of all the scars caused by forgeries, fake smiles, false words, and phoney friendships. However, Our God is not like this, and we must never view Him through these lenses. God declared in 2 Corinthians 1:20 that, ‘all His promises are yes and Amen’. That means when God says, ‘Yes’ to His Promise concerning your life, you can shout a big ‘Amen’. God’s ‘Yes’ is solid, strong, sturdy, unshakable, and firm.

God knows when you are ‘passing through the fire of affliction’, and there are times when He allows the ‘burn’. But He will never allow the fire to burn forever, you will emerge; and know this, you will not emerge to an empty, favourless, fruitless promise. The Lord has promised that, like Eve, He will make you fruitful again (Gen 4:25); Like Miriam, you will dance again (Ex 15:20-25); Like Sarah, you will laugh again; Like the daughters of Zelophehad, you will own land again (Numbers 27:1-7); Like Ruth, you will marry again (Ruth 4:13-17); Like Hannah, The Lord will remember you (1 Samuel 1:18). Like the ‘Woman with the issue’, you will walk in health again (Luke 8:43-48); Like the Widow of Nain, your child will live again (Luke 7:11-15); And, like Jairus’ daughter, you will arise again (Luke 8:41-56).Today, God is reminding His People that He is sticking to His side of the Covenant Agreement.

God’s Covenant is not determined by what you bring to the table, but by His own abundant, and excessive supply of Grace, lavishly poured out for you and me. People of God, just get under the canopy of God’s Grace and let Him drench you with His favour. Today, you will emerge; you will leave the ‘valley of Bacca’. Your wounds will heal. Yes, there may be scars, but these scars will not cause you pain. The scars will serve as a testimony of how you got over… Scarred But Not Discarded. Amen.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
– Father, today we thank You for pursuing us and making us feel worthy. You have made us ‘Somebodies’ when we came to you as broken ‘nobodies’.
– Father, You want us to know that Your Covenant is not determined by what we bring to the table, but by Your own abundant, and excessive supply of Grace, lavishly poured out for us. Thank You Father.
– You are aware of all the scars caused by empty promises, unfulfilled dreams, false words, phoney friendships, silent hopes, and frustrated expectations. But You are not like this. Your ‘Yes’ is solid, strong, sturdy, unshakable, and firm.
– Let healing take place within Your people. Let faith stir, hope quicken, peace be released, and joy bubble over. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
