WORD: Turning A Broken Story Into God’s Glory

To feel rejected is not great. We live in a society where rejection is a common thread. Rejection can start in the womb, where the pregnancy was unplanned and unwanted. With a sense of disappointment, embarrassment, fear, and trepidation, our mothers may have carried on with the pregnancy, unaware of the impact their negative emotions were having on their babies. This ‘spirit of rejection’ then stubbornly clings to and follows their children as they grow up, hindering, blocking and damaging their perception of love.

A ‘spirit of rejection’ has a way of destroying a person’s self-esteem, confidence, dignity, self-worth, respect, and hopes for the future. These feelings of ‘no-self-worth’ often lead to poor life choices; we begin to accept ‘anything’ and ‘anyone’ that comes our way.

Thus, the Promise laid out in Isaiah 54:5 is not just there to make us feel good…this is our remedy. It says, ‘Your Maker, (Your Creator), will become Your Husband; The Lord…is His Name’. There is no one better, greater, richer, more powerful, or influential like Him and He has chosen us. We were not His second choice or an after- thought. We were always His ‘Masterpiece’, His ‘Original (and only) Copy’. This Promise changes everything…if we but believe. God is telling us exactly who we really are. We are His prized jewel. We have an enemy, whose sole purpose is to steal, violate, contaminate, and destroy God’s Chosen. He is worse than a mercenary, he has come to eliminate God’s prized possession.

But today, all that is over. No more. You belong to God. You are Covered by God’s Great Mercies, and Everlasting kindness. What you have been through was only for a short moment. There are times when the pain of yesterday would want to interrupt our today, but God’s Word is the same yesterday, today and forever. It’s a Word that has travelled through time and dispensations to get to us. God’s Word has no intention of returning to Him empty handed. Its purpose is to accomplish what God desires and to prosper in the area it was sent (Isaiah 55:11). So, smile, your future is looking really bright. I said, ‘SMILE’. Amen.

PROPHETIC PRAYER
– Father God, You are my Redeemer. You have purchased and sealed me with the Blood of Jesus, Your Son.
– You came after me when I was most vulnerable. I was forsaken and abandoned, and you came running after me. You covered me in Your loving kindness and everlasting mercies.
– Father, You choose to leave ninety-nine sheep behind, to come looking for me, just to ensure that I am safely carried back home.
– I am not an orphan. I am not illegitimate, I am not unwanted, I am not a reject. I belong to God.
– Today, I am reminded that I am Loved by God; Chosen and Predestined; Accepted by My Beloved; Made an Heir through Christ Jesus; Sealed by the Holy Spirit; Covered by the Blood; More than Conqueror; Assured an Inheritance; And Destined for Glory. Hallelujah
