Word: Turning A Broken Story Into God’s Glory
In Isaiah 54:1, the Lord sends a Word to the desolate and broken, He says: ‘Sing, O barren, thou [that] didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou [that] didst not travail with child: for more [are] the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD’. When God calls for us to sing, something is about to shift. Even when everything in our natural mind is telling us that God is not being rational, reasonable, or fair. Yet, what God is looking for is our ridiculous surrender to Him, even when you are going through overwhelming situations. It is our surrender and obedience to God that activates a supernatural move of God. Scripture has proven time and time again the power of complete obedience, even when the request seems so illogical.
During these times, it feels as if God takes delight in making us look like fools. Has the Lord ever asked you to do something ridiculous? Something that does not seem to portray your present reality. Is God asking you to sing even whilst the tears are steaming down your face? Is God asking you to dance, even when you are ‘all together bowed over’ (Luke 13:10)? Is God asking you to give even in the midst of your own financial lack? Is God asking you to pray for others even though your own situation is ‘on the point of death’? (Mk. 521-43).
I have read some amazing stories of people who worshipped God despite being beaten, accused, shackled, broken, and condemned to death. Despite how incredulous this appears, this is what The Lord is wanting us to do too. Our singing is not just about the sound of a melody or creating a tune. Our ‘singing’ is about trusting God, and believing that He will bring us out, despite the outward wreckage.
The enemy’s intention was for you to go crazy. The enemy thought it was all over, he wanted to keep you bowed over, ashamed, and afraid. Yet here you are singing. This type of ‘singing’ did not come from a hymnal; neither was it duplicated from another worship team; It wasn’t replicated or forged from the internet. This song was birthed out of the fire of affliction, and from the Altar of reverential hope. Thus, this is no ordinary singing, this is the sound of breakthrough that is more powerful than any atomic weapon. Our singing has the capacity to shatter the eardrums of the enemy. People of God, right where you are, just lift up a heavenly sound and watch it create a spiritual tsunami capable of shifting you from ‘Broken-piece’ into God’s ‘Masterpiece’.
PROPHETIC PRAYER
* Today, we cut lose from every tired, crippling, defeating, draining, dream-killing spirit. In Jesus’s Name.
* Today, we pack our bags because we are moving out of this restricted, confined, limited atmosphere. We take hold of God’s Promises; We will not let go until it manifests.
* We declare, no more hopeless existing, negative thinking, dream-killing speaking, no more restrictions. Father, today we declare that You are a God of ‘New Beginnings’.
* Father, I stand with You and declare, ‘It is not over, until You say it is over’.
* My God has never lost a battle…therefore, I am more than conqueror through Christ Jesus.
* Today I get Up; Saddle Up; Drive Up; And Move Forward. I will not ‘slacken my riding’.
* This is my season where My God will cause me to: Dream again; Look Again; Fight Again; Stand Again; Drive and Go Forward Again; Rejoice Again; Laugh Again; And sing again. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
